3. 1969.5 Plymouth Road Runner 440+6 A12 "M-Code":
Another one of Mother Mopar's famous six-month only Lift-Off hood 440+6 brutes! Again, it is no secret that I think these 69.5 M Code cars are the epitome of a true "Muscle Car", built in limited numbers, with limited options, for a limited time, with the emphasis on big power and little weight! It didn't hurt that they came in some pretty wild colors, had a menacing (from inside the car and out!) huge hood scoop on a flat black removable hood, any gear you wanted as long as it was a 4.10 in a Dana 60 truck axle, and to throw in a little marketing genius, a cartoon character on its flanks with a silly "Beep-Beep" horn!
#3 on the Top 50 Fastest Muscle Car list, there is no denying that these cars were the ones to beat back when street racing was politically correct.
This particular car is a super rare post coupe (lighter and stiffer than the hardtops), with a factory "radio delete", taxi cab interior, and one of only a few finished in High Impact Rallye Green paint. It has the Hemi Torqueflight transmission, a heater, and nothing else. More importantly, it has only 6,700 original miles on it! Yes, six-thousand-seven-hundred miles. Skeptical? Well, this car was sold new in California, and used as a drag car. Seems that around the early 1970's, i.e., 1971 or so, the original motor swallowed a part at 5,700 miles. With good intentions, its owner yanked out the motor and transmission and proceeded to......do nothing. And that is where this baby sat until 1974 when a young man noticed it languishing outside, faded and forlorn. He approached the woman at the house where the car was parked, and was told "hell yes!" when he asked if it was for sale. Apparently there was a divorce taking place, and guess who the car belonged to! After a price was agreed on ($600), the car was hauled away, with a promise to come back and get the motor and transmission. By the time our buyer returned, the soon to be ex had returned and took what was left of his car, that being the engine and transmission. So, the car continued to sit in California. Eventually, a enthusiast from right here in Milwaukee caught wind of this car a few years ago, and dragged it home to do a concours restoration on it. After many hours of shoveling out and steam cleaning, he unearthed a pristine 5,700 mile, never rusted, never hit, all original panel car with an arrow straight body. Aloha Dream Cars of Port Washington, Wisconsin (www.alohadreamcars.com) , one of the foremost Mopar restoration shops in the Country, was selected to do the body and paint on this car. It is actually featured on their website. Stripped to bare metal, and painted inside, out and underneath in the slickest coat of Rallye Green you will ever see, it is simply awesome. A perfectly date coded and correct 440+6 motor was found (no small task), and given to C&S Performance for a full rebuild. $11,000 later, a 548 horsepower and 670 ft./lbs of torque monster emerged - but looking as stock as they come! A correct Hemi Torqueflight transmission was found and rebuilt to better than new, along with the original Dana. Absolutley every part of this car is restored to perfection, it is a true show stopper. A few non-stock items were added, since the owner wanted the car to drive as good as it looks. CPPA Ceramic coated headers were installed, along with a TTI 3" aluminized exhaust that is an exact duplicate of the original, only in 3" diameter. Polygraphite bushings were used in the suspension (undetectable), and Michelin Pilot speed-rated radials were fitted,and then had red lines cut into them for a period look. An electronic ignition is fitted, along with a high-torque starter. All of this is easily put right back to stock, but certainly in the spirit of what these cars were - and still are!
This is a no-expense spared, flawlessly restored car, done by some of the best in the business. It runs and drives unbelievably, its performance is simply mind boggling! Not to mention the sounds! With the exception of the few parts noted, it is 100% correct, with its original fiberglass hood, radiator, Hemi wheels, etc., etc. Listed in the 69.5 Six Pak/6 BBL Registry,and a hands down perfect car, this is a rare opportunity to buy a real "blue chip" muscle car.
This is a must see car for the serious muscle car coinsurer , and will surely blow you away with its quality. Priced at far less than the restoration expenses alone at $80,000.

11. Up for auction is a very rare sixty nine and a half mid year factory race car in the very rare Q5 turqoise metallic paint. The road runner is in very solid original cond. The motor is a 440 1976 block , looks like a factory crate motor, its not numbers matshing, the 4speed tranny works well and not sure of the numbers. the rear end is a dana 60 with 355 gears i believe, as it runs the highway fine. the body is in solid original cond, i believe the car was draged raced in new jersey as i did some diggin and came up with some interesting storys from previous
ownwers. the car was mini tubbed in its early days and shows the sighns of this when on a lift you can see the weld marks.it had frame stiffeners and mini rear end in it at one time and the battery was in the rear trunk, but all has been put back in its original cond. before i purchased it. the car has never been rusted out and retains all its original sheet metal. the wheel wells were saved along with the original radiator suppost as this was taken out and leftout during its race days
and was put back in profesioanally. the car is in real nice shape , paint is fair to good considering its age and for the lenght of time it was restored, most likely around the early to mid 80,s. the interior is very very nice and is all original. the carpet was probally replaced at one time and is good. The under side of the car is solid with some dents in the drive shaft tunnel from i would imagine a few blown shafts.the engine has been completely detailed and painted as well as the engine
compartment and looks original and all hoses , wires clamps etc. have been replaced date coded.everything works well and the car really goes well, and is in overall good cond.it has been decoded by galen govier , but i have not got this back as yet but will post his findings soon. i was told that this is the only Q5 paint code 4spd.A-12 m code sixpack road runner made in this rare color combo,fender tag is present and the cowl , vin# and the drip rail number in the trunk all match.the road runner does not have the build sheet. please call with any questions.1-781-586-8781

We have just got the car and heres what we know about it, previous owner took the six pack off and put on an 4 barrel intake, but the orginal six pack intake and carbs are with the car and the carbs need to be rebuilt, still has the orginal bath tub breather, as well as orginal lift off hood, the driver side floor pan needs to be replaced as well as the center of the trunk pan quarter panel extions look good, quarters are good and straight but will need lower patch panels, top of fender on
driver side has some rust on top, Ive tried to take pic of the rust so look at pics, the car is not running but will turn over we just have not had time yet to work on it, brakes are up and will stop I was told by previous owner that the motor has never been out of car,car also has 6 way seat, console and buckets headliner is still in good shape

24. Original M-code 1969-1/2 Road Runner. It is rallye green, body is done and beatiful. Interior is done. Just need to finish mechanicals, not enough time to finish myself. It is a bench seat column shift auto, factory tach, fender tag intact but no build sheet. Paint is all done, looks awesome, very straight. The underside is done, cleaned down to metal and painted, the frame is very solid, drivers floorpan professionally replaced. The trunkpan is original, no holes, one small patch. The carpet, seats, package tray, all replaced. Rear side panels are in, I have the fronts, but have not put them in yet. Have 70 HP2 6 pack motor, fresh rebuild, 727 trans, freshly rebuilt, w/MP shift kit. I have most of the parts, orig. intake, carbs, correct factory air cleaner base and cover. Parts needed are, driveshaft, radiator, hood, dashpad (orig is cracked), some wheatherstriping, and the Dana has been taken years ago and needs to be replaced. I have the proper H wheels, fresh paint, all decals, lugnuts. All of the body numbers match from vin to rad. brace to the trunk lip, fender tag matches.

This is a factory Vitamin C Orange, 4-speed, post car. This car is certified by
Galen Govier and came from him two owners ago. The radiator core support, fender tag, vin tag and trunk lip all match. Comes with most of the hard parts to find:

flawless, I did not get as many pics as I wanted but the car is everything it appears to be. I would own this one if I could, guy wants 35k for it.
36. This is a rust free 6pac runner, auto on floor, black buckets, original paint in engine compartment. It has correct 69 motor that runs exellent, the fuel lines are not factory and the head rest are missing. There are a few things that should be corrected on this car but it's a veary nice driver. I think $30k is a fare amount for a car with all virgin metal. August 23rd 2003.

42. Here is a fine example of a rare, triple black 69 1/2 Road Runner. This is a real M-Code, 440 Six Pack, that is completly rust free and has spent the vast majority of its life garaged. This car only has an incredible 26,330 miles. This Six Pack wears all of its original rust free sheet metal and its only primary purpose was 1/4 mile racing, because of this it DOES NOT have its numbers matching engine, that was blown up long ago!!! It does have a meaty '71 440 in it now to rest under the Six Pack and Hemi 4-speed. The exterior of the car is as solid as can be, It did have a high quality paint job done a time long ago, although it would need to be re-painted to be a show winner (nicks,scratches,smudge marks) I can paint the car for a fee. Its the kind of car that looks just fine 10 feet away. The underneath is clean and compleatly rust-free. All of the glass is mint. The front grill, trimwork, and chrome are in almost perfect condition, with no pitting anywhere. The vin tag is: RM21M9A257095.

Has original matching trans, bellhousing, clutch fork, flywheel, driveshaft, 4:10 dana rear, 054 radiator with nice shroud still attached, matching VINTAG, FENDERTAG, BODY NUMBERS, no buildsheet, exhaust manifolds with exhaust still attached, aftermarket liftoff hood with original hood pins and bezels in realy nice condition. The car still wears its original paint but does have rot in the floors, truck floor, and lower quarters.
The pass side fender has a small dent up front, driverside has small dent but I have a very nice pair of fenders for the car, or fix whats there. This particular example is a numbers matching, 4 speed, original R4 Bright Red color car with bucket seats and side body scoops. An older restoration on a great original car with all original panels that was done right, this car looks as fresh as the day it was done. An original 20,000 mile,three owner,all original panel,100% numbers matching car that has had a no-expense spared rotisserie style restoration performed by the King of Mopar restorations, John Balow (see Year One profile below). This car has a completely known and fully documented history back to new, including the factory broadcast sheet,original title,original warranty book,owners manual,consumer information sheets,ownership document holder, and full ownership history.It has also been decoded by Galen Govier. It is one of only a few A12 "Conversion Package" cars known to exist with it's complete numbers matching drivetrain.In fact,this car was in such great low mileage, original and unmolested condition before restoration that such items as the original wiring harness,the original ballast resistor,washer fluid bottle, etc. were able to be reused! 57. 1969.5 Plymouth Road Runner 440+6 A12 "M-Code"
This particular car is a super rare post coupe (lighter and stiffer than the hardtops), with a factory "radio delete", taxi cab interior, and one of only a few finished in High Impact Rallye Green paint. It has the Hemi Torqueflight transmission, a heater, and nothing else. More importantly, it has only 6,700 original miles on it! Yes, six-thousand-seven-hundred miles. Skeptical? Well, this car was sold new in California, and used as a drag car. Seems that around the early 1970's, i.e., 1971 or so, the original motor swallowed a part at 5,700 miles. With good intentions, its owner yanked out the motor and transmission and proceeded to......do nothing. And that is where this baby sat until 1974 when a young man noticed it languishing outside, faded and forlorn. He approached the woman at the house where the car was parked, and was told "hell yes!" when he asked if it was for sale. Apparently there was a divorce taking place, and guess who the car belonged to! After a price was agreed on ($600), the car was hauled away, with a promise to come back and get the motor and transmission. By the time our buyer returned, the soon to be ex had returned and took what was left of his car, that being the engine and transmission. So, the car continued to sit in California. Eventually, a enthusiast from right here in Milwaukee caught wind of this car a few years ago, and dragged it home to do a concours restoration on it. After many hours of shoveling out and steam cleaning, he unearthed a pristine 5,700 mile, never rusted, never hit, all original panel car with an arrow straight body. Aloha Dream Cars of Port Washington, Wisconsin (www.alohadreamcars.com) , one of the foremost Mopar restoration shops in the Country, was selected to do the body and paint on this car. It is actually featured on their website. Stripped to bare metal, and painted inside, out and underneath in the slickest coat of Rallye Green you will ever see, it is simply awesome. A perfectly date coded and correct 440+6 motor was found (no small task), and given to C&S Performance for a full rebuild. $11,000 later, a 548 horsepower and 670 ft./lbs of torque monster emerged - but looking as stock as they come! A correct Hemi Torqueflight transmission was found and rebuilt to better than new, along with the original Dana. Absolutley every part of this car is restored to perfection, it is a true show stopper. A few non-stock items were added, since the owner wanted the car to drive as good as it looks. CPPA Ceramic coated headers were installed, along with a TTI 3" aluminized exhaust that is an exact duplicate of the original, only in 3" diameter. Polygraphite bushings were used in the suspension (undetectable), and Michelin Pilot speed-rated radials were fitted,and then had red lines cut into them for a period look. An electronic ignition is fitted, along with a high-torque starter. All of this is easily put right back to stock, but certainly in the spirit of what these cars were - and still are!
Priced at far less than the restoration expenses alone at $80,000.

F6 Bright green with a white painted roof!! Not many of theses cars were built with a painted roof.
Texas body that required minimal body work to restore.
Body work has been completed and the car is painted top and bottom. Original numbers matching fresh 440 engine. Non original automatic transmission requires rebuild, 4.10 Dana that should be gone through.
The car is dis-assembled with rear end only in place. Front suspension can be quickly installed or a dolley could be used to move the car. Most pieces to complete are included such as hood, breather, interior seat cover kit.
Many choice NOS pieces including grille, head light doors, tail light assemblies, at least two wheel lips.
This car was a white bench seat interior column automatic. It had been converted to a 4 speed by the original owner. Floor repair has been completed.

68. This is a real M code car in the rare color of Butterscotch. Very few M codes were made this color. The car does have a build sheet and the fender tag and is available for inspection. The car is very clean and drives well. The engine is,of course, a Six Pack with a 4 Speed. The rear is a Dana with 4:10 gears. The interior is close to perfect and the seats still sport the chrysler logo on the seat backs. The trim is in remarkable condition.
The car is in very good condition and all the major componets work as they should. The motor is not number matching but a correct date coded block now resides between the frame rails.There is no rust on the car and the underside is lightly undercoated. 82. You are bidding on a 1969 1/2, 440 six pack Road Runner - one of only 227 rare Plymouth Road Runners ever built at Lynch Road Assembly Plant for half of 1969 only! Needs minor body and paint work. Car has never been wrecked. Originally R4 red, car is now green metalic with flat black lift-off hood. The car was drag-raced in the 1970's. The previous owner installed 8 point cage, rear mount battery, mini tubs with factory wheel house and frame connectors. Modifications can be easily returned back to stock condition. Bumpers, grill, head and tail light assemblies are in near perfect condition. Perfect candidate for total restoration due to limited production and overall condition of vehicle. Seats have been removed and are not available or included in sale. Engine is a 440 with non matching numbers and a 4 barrel carb. The engine runs strong and true. The transmission is non number matching 727 with 2,800+ stall converter and reverse manual valve body. Dana 60 rear end has big breaks, inboard leaf spring kit and locker. The car has old-style 2 piece aluminum racing wheels.
